Walking
We are in the heart of the old village of Charols.
Why not start by boarding a TER train that accepts bicycles, coming from or heading to Lyon, Valence Ville, Avignon, or Marseille? You can check the schedules and availability of these trains, as well as any necessary reservations, with SNCF at https://www.sncf-connect.com/.
Once you arrive at Montélimar train station with your bike, simply follow a pleasant bike path along the Jabron River towards La Batie Rolland.
Upon leaving La Batie Rolland, the path to the stadium will take you across the main road from Montélimar. Take the path of Bruges opposite, then after crossing the Vermenon River, take the D625 which becomes the road to Costardinen. The path of Saint Maurice is gentler than the ‘Route de la Grosse Pierre’ and less busy than the ‘Route de la Bégude’ to reach Charols.
This 24 km journey with a positive elevation gain of 170 meters should take you about 1 hour 30 minutes. It’s a beautiful ride that will allow you to fully enjoy the landscape as you arrive at La Barule while getting some exercise.
Enjoy the ride!
